Larry Rentz graduated from Florida A&M University in December 1992 with a BS in Music Education and was commissioned as an Army Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps.  Larry taught Music in Florida for eight years before entering the Army full-time in 2001.  He has three assignments in the DMV, the most recent was in 2015 as the Professor of Military Science and Leadership at the University of Maryland. He retired from the Army in 2020 after over 28 years of service, remaining in the DMV and taking a position with the Federal Government as a Training Specialist.
